do they work?
HOW
The aligners are made of a special plastic that adapts to the shape of the teeth. You get several sets of aligners, so you can change them every week or as directed.
Each time you change the aligners, they gradually push your teeth into their final designed position.
In order for the aligner therapy to be successful, it is necessary that the aligners are used 22 hours a day.
Aligner
Orthodontics is a very special branch of dentistry dedicated to correcting the position of the teeth and improving the patient's bite.
Orthodontic treatment consists of moving the teeth into a better position using sufficient force.
Fixed appliances such as braces, removable appliances or aligners can be used.
Aligner orthodontics consists of moving teeth with a special plastic mold taken from the patient's teeth. The aligners are made of a specially developed material.

Additional devices
The technology known as hybrid technology, in some cases we can use films together with braces or other devices.
Braces or fixed appliances
Small screws are inserted into the bone in a simple procedure under local anesthesia. They are removed when they are no longer needed or at the end of treatment.
TADs are an aid to your films.

Temporary Anchorage Devices
After each orthodontic treatment, the retention phase begins. This step is very important because it allows you to keep your teeth in the achieved position. The teeth can still move, so using a retention device minimizes this possibility. You get a retention wire or thread as shown in the picture, a removable retainer similar to a thicker aligner, or both. The thread stays on the tongue side of the teeth. Removable retention films are used later, only at night.

Attachments
Attachments are used in every aligner treatment. These are made of composite and are attached to the surface of the teeth. The composite is the same used in dental restorations and has the same color of your teeth, making them very discreet.
The shape and location of the attachments vary for each tooth, movement needed and patient. Attachments can also be placed on front teeth. The attachments can be removed from the teeth for evaluation and re-placed during treatment.
Once your bite has reached its final position, all attachments are removed.
Buttons may be needed during the aligner orthodontic treatment.
Depending on your treatment needs, metallic or aesthetic buttons can be used.
All buttons are removed at the end of the treatment or when they are no longer needed.
Buttons and elastics are aids that are used so that your treatment proceeds as planned.
You will receive elastics and their instructions for use.

Monitoring
During the treatment, you will receive a device that allows you to send pictures of your teeth to the ortho team. Images are sent through a special application intended for this purpose.
Your treatment will be closely monitored and the number of visits to the clinic will be reduced.
